I am very pleased to announce that Cray Valley Radio Society is now an RSGB Brickworks accredited club.

Brickworks is a scheme that provides a structured and engaging approach to trying new activities and learning new skills. CVRS will provide support sessions and practical activity opportunities to allow participants to progress through the scheme and earn awards. Amongst the many varied activities are:

• Logging U/V/HF QSOs using analogue, DV, Data, SSTV, and DATV modes
• Operate in a contest and activate a Summit (SOTA)
• Help setup, operate and tear down a field radio station
• Build equipment and software
• Take part in club nets and RAYNET events

Award certificates are presented on completing 3, 5, 10, 15 and all 23 activities, and award winners are listed in RadCom. Who will be the first CVRS member to receive a Brickworks award?

Whilst aimed at newer radio amateurs this is also a great opportunity for more established members to try new activities and brush-up or acquire new skills. There is no charge for participation and no commitment on your part.
