On Saturday 8 August, the club held its traditional annual summer barbecue, and with just under 40 members in attendance, an enjoyable time was had by all.

The weather was glorious: the barbecue fell right in the middle of the fifth heatwave of the year. With not the slightest threat of rain, our only concern was staying cool, so we pitched the gazebo and set out the tables in the shade.

The “kitchen area” was once again expertly manned by Trevor M1TAD, who took charge of the barbecue itself, ably assisted by Dave G8ZZK and Martin M0MDR.

Absolutely delicious salads were provided by Ann, Kieran G8CHB’s XYL, who also treated us to a wonderful spread of desserts.

Our huge thanks go to Kieran and Ann once again for organising everything so splendidly.
