SUMMARY:Club meeting - Collins 618T restoration : Thierry M1DRT
DESCRIPTION:The talk will present the restoration of a Collins 618T3 airborne HF transceiver. The 618T was made by the Collins Company in the US in the early 1960s and probably still in use today. The Collins 618T is considered an iconic and highly innovative high-frequency (HF) single sideband (SSB) aircraft transceiver. It was a revolutionary piece of equipment in the field of aviation and military communications\, known for its performance and durability. The talk will go through the approach taken to diagnose and resolve five significant faults affecting its operation.
